What are alcohol toxins? It’s just a drink, what harm will it do? How many times have we heard this one? Or how about, a couple drinks never hurt anyone. Another reasoning we are very quick to bring up is, if it is legal then why is it bad for us?

Alcohol is made with Ethanol and can be lethal to your body if consumed too much. The ingestion of alcohol into our bodies causes so many problems. It literally has a negative effect on every organ in our body, and this includes the brain.

There is not a place in our body that alcohol consumption does not affect. This means even if you are having 2 drinks a day on an average. It is suggested that 3 – 4 times per week a women can have 1 drink and a man 2, this is considered okay, yet does not mean it won’t negatively affect your body.

So what part of the body do they affect

Alcohol consumption will affect your central nervous system and acts as a depressant. It interferes in our power of vision, hearing, movements and disturbs our emotions.

Seeing that every person is physically different it affects us at all different stages of drinking. It’s also true if someone does not drink often the effect will happen sooner than someone that drinks on a regular basis. The person who drinks more often builds a tolerance for the alcohol and the effect of it.

The consequences of alcohol consumption are not picky. It will affect everyone to some degree. A person taking alcohol for a long period can become addicted and it can cause liver damage, colon cancer and destruction in brain cells.

How alcohol affects every individual is different and depends as well on the overall health of that person. In most cases people that have current underlying health issues will be more affected by consuming alcohol. This is generally speaking, as there are many things that play a role in the consequences of drinking alcohol.

Typically someone already having compromised health concerns should be aware of what are alcohol toxins as well as be aware of the impact it will have on them. Diabetics need to be very careful if and when consuming alcohol. If you are depressed and on medication drinking is not a good idea as it will counteract with your medication. The safest thing is to just not drink at all.
